Visa Application Notes: for a visa extension at Samui Immigration Office you need a completed TM7 form, 1,900 baht, 1 passport photo, signed copies of your picture page, departure card, last entry stamp & visa page if you have one.
If you exceed the allowed extension period, you must pay the overstay fine of 500 baht per day.
I.e if your stamp finished on Tuesday 13th but you go to the late on Thursday 15th that’s 2 days = 1000 baht
When the office reopens on the very first day after a weekend or a Thai National holiday, you typically won’t incur overstay charges if you go to extend. If you go the day after they reopen you pay overstay back to the day your stamp is finished.
Note if you have lost your departure card you can still apply for the extension, there should be no problem. You’ll need to complete a new departure card when you exit Thailand.
Immigration offices are always closed on weekends and Thai National holidays.
