Deisha Viewpoint / High The Moon Viewpoint 360
Deisha Viewpoint isn’t one of Koh Tao’s highest, but it does offer a unique perspective looking down over Chalok Baan Kao and Chalok Bay, and out towards Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. Despite the spectacular view, Deisha Viewpoint remains one of the lesser-known and least visited of Koh Tao’s viewpoints, so it is a nice spot to relax for a while. The bar there is open every day from noon. You can either take in the panorama from the large decking area or walk about 50 metres through the jungle. Here you’ll find a large granite boulder you can sit upon to take in the sights.
Access
To reach Deisha Viewpoint and Viewpoint Bar, you’ll need to take the turn off the main road between Mae Haad and Chalok Baan Kao which is signposted for Sai Nuan Beach. The road is in good condition but is steep. You’ll need to take the left turn on one of the steeper curves near the top to reach Deisha View. There are some large signs for the bar that mark the turning point. You can park your rental scooter and walk from there, as the dirt track can be rutted and difficult to traverse, plus you’ll need to use some stairs to reach the bar and access the viewpoint anyway.
Fees
There are no charges for accessing the viewpoint. Nevertheless, we recommend considering purchasing some beverages or food at DeishaView Bar.
Services & Facilities
Every day starting at noon, they offer a selection of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. On the expansive wooden decking, you’ll find hammocks and comfortable beanbags to relax in. Deisha View Viewpoint Bar often has live music, and the use of the pool table is free to all visitors.
Sunrise or Sunset?
Deisha View is best enjoyed at sunset and offers a more personalised horizon-gazing alternative than sunset at one of the busier Koh Tao viewpoints or any of the bars along Sairee Beach.
