Porto Bello was established in 2006, and quickly gained notoriety as one of Koh Tao’s top western restaurants. Largely due to its high standards in both service and food quality. Set at the quieter end of the walking street close to Sairee Beach, Porto Bello is spacious and welcoming and boasts an array of Mediterranean food and wine in an ambient environment.

The staff at Porto Bello are efficient and friendly. The manager tries to greet each table personally and check in with diners throughout the evening. It is this attention to detail that has allowed the restaurant to gain a loyal following of repeat clientele. A solid word-of-mouth referral network via residents & tourists exists. Porto Bello is suitable for both intimate dining and larger groups and offers takeaway, delivery services and dine-in.

Food

Diners will find numerous Mediterranean-style dishes on the menu. Homemade pasta to traditional stone-baked pizza, specialty breads, and much more. There is a range of appetisers and a selection of salads plus steak and fish mains for those who are not feeling like pasta or pizza. If you have any space left at the end of your sitting there is also a range of delicious desserts.

Porto Bello offers a children’s pasta menu allowing you to choose between bolognese, carbonara, or meatballs. So those travelling with families on Koh Tao are catered for.

Drinks

A standard drinks menu comprising soft drinks, local beers, house wines, and a selection of spirits is available. In addition, Porto Bello has a wine list offering a range of red, white, and rose options. All are available for purchase either by the glass or by the bottle.
