High on Chai is Koh Tao’s only authentic Indian restaurant. For those looking for a top-notch curry, but something a little different from the traditional Thai options, High on Chai Koh Tao is our number one recommendation. The owners are of Indian descent and have gone to great lengths to import all the spices and special ingredients. This ensure’s every item on the menu is bursting with flavour. The owner’s age-old family recipes infuse love into crafting each dish featured on the menu, you don’t get much more authentic than that! The restaurant itself is comfortable and airy, there’s plenty of space between tables. Your dining experience never feels cramped. There is indoor and outdoor seating and even a small mezzanine floor.

Featuring a classically traditional Indian Thali menu, every plate comes with your curry of choice, rice, a side salad, a poppadum, a samosa, and bread (choose from naan, roti, or parotta). You can choose the spice level of your curry when ordering. The homemade chutneys and achaar sauces on every table are incredible.
