FAQ
-
Can I take one of the later night trains from Bangkok that depart around 22:30?
No, not if you want to be sure to connect with the first Lomprayah at 07:30 to Koh Tao as the transfer bus to the pier is leaving from Chumpon train station at around 05:30. However there is also a Lomprayah pick-up from Chumpon Train Station at 11:45 am. This is to catch the 1 pm Catamaran to Koh Tao. -
I see from the train timetable that there is a train from Chumpon at 12:46 (just after noon) going to Bangkok. Is it possible to take the 10:15 Lomprayah from Koh Tao with a transfer to make this train?
Not really, it’s a risky booking. You would need a private taxi waiting at the pier in Chumpon and even with the taxi plan in place if the ferry runs a bit late you miss the train and consequently lose your money. -
Is there luggage storage at Chumpon, Hua Lamphong & Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal train stations?
Yes, there are secure & cheap luggage storage facilities available there
