If it’s not your first time on Koh Tao and you’ve partied at Leo Evolution Club & Restaurant before you may remember it was located on Sairee Beach.  You’ll definitely want to pay a visit to the new Leo set up. During the downtime provided by COVID-19 on Koh Tao, the Leo team moved location and opened a brand-new party venue in Mae Haad. Long regarded as one of the premium late-night venues on the Koh Tao nightlife scene, the new version of Leo Bar is still just as pumping, and what it lost in beachfront real estate, it makes up for in party power! 

While its main reputation is based on being an ‘end of the night’ party bar. Leo Evolution Club & Restaurant is also open throughout the day.  Although most people don’t make their way over until after sunset and pre-drinks on the beach. There is a limited menu of Thai food and snacks, which is often appreciated later in the evening – as is the convenient stop-off at Seven eleven next door for water and munchies on the way home. 

New Venue

Compared to the original venue, the new venue is huge! There’s indoor and outdoor seating, and live music is a regular occurrence in the spacious open-air courtyard. The indoor space is the only air-conditioned, Bangkok-style club on the island. So, Leo is a particular hit in hot season for those who love to party the night away without risking sweat patches or a make-up faux pas! 

Leo Evolution Club & Restaurant serves a selection of local and international beers, spirits, and cocktails. Beers are served either by the glass or by the tower. Spirits and cocktails are available by the bucket as well as by the glass. Making them popular for groups of friends wanting to share. And for those who don’t want to queue for drinks at the bar as often!
